OFFICIAL 2012 STARTING TIMES ...

All girls teams must arrive by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28.

Girls matches begin at 8:30 a.m.

Play will consist of every girl playing 1 game to 15 against 3 different opponents.

Estimated time of completion will be 1:30pm

All boys teams must arrive by 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 28.

Boys matches begin at 2:00 p.m.

Play will consist of every boy playing 1 game to 15 against 3 different opponents.

Estimated time of completion will be 6:00pm

SIGN-UPS

SIGN UP BY EMAILING A TEAM CONFIRMATION TO DWHITLEY@VETTASPORTS.COM BY 6PM ON MONDAY, JANUARY 23RD. VARSITY TEAMS HAVE ALREADY PAID TO PLAY IN THE EVENT, AS THIS TOURNAMENT IS INCLUDED IN THE TEAM ENTRY FEE FOR THE SEASON. YOU MUST EMAIL A CONFIRMATION, THOUGH, TO CONFIRM YOUR TEAM IS PARTICIPATING.

A SPECIFIC LIST OF THE PLAYERS COMPETING WILL NOT BE NEEDED UNTIL THE DAY OF THE EVENT. YOU MUST FIELD A FULL TEAM TO ENTER. IF VARSITY PLAYERS ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND, YOU CAN FILL OUT THE BALANCE OF YOUR ROSTER WITH JV PLAYERS.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The Gary Hendren Invitational offers 8 Girls Round Robin Singles Divisions and 8 Boys Round Robin Singles Divisions. The Girls divisions will run in the morning and run into the afternoon. The Boys will start in the late afternoon and run into the evening. The entry fee is built into the cost of the league. Entries must be submitted through email by coaches to dwhitley@vettasports.com and received by 6pm on Monday, January 23rd. Teams must be complete when entered; no partial team entries will be accepted.



Divisions are created as follows… All of the Varsity Seed Ones will play in a division, all of the Varsity Seed Twos will play in a division, and so on and so on. Doubles players will be entered as singles competitors in the last two slots of the tournament.



Each division will be assigned its own court. All matches will be played for that division on that court. The match sequence will be determined at the coaches’ meeting that precedes the start of the divisions in the morning and the afternoon.



Team trophies will be given for 1st-3rd with 1 point going to a team for every game won. The team with the most wins takes 1st.
